Ministries
Through every season of life, we want to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus, build meaningful relationships, and find opportunities to serve and live on mission. Explore the ministries below to find a place to grow, connect, and serve.
MISSION AND VISION
At First Baptist Dublin, we are committed to worshiping God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23–24), in response to who He is and what He has done for us through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Our corporate worship is shaped by Scripture and includes the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16), prayer and the public reading of Scripture (1 Timothy 2:1–2; 4:13), the giving of offerings (1 Corinthians 16:1–2; 2 Corinthians 9:6–7), the proclamation of God’s Word (2 Timothy 4:1–2), and the observance of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).
The Music Ministry seeks to serve and strengthen corporate worship by encouraging people of all generations to lift their collective voice in praise to God. Our worship is Gospel-centered, biblically grounded, and doctrinally sound, encouraging the participation of the congregation so that believers are equipped as disciples of Christ and those who do not know Him hear the good news of salvation.
WEEKLY GATHERINGS
SUNDAY
Wind Ensemble | 3:00PM | Chapel
The Wind Ensemble brings together high school students and adults to use their musical gifts in service to God and His Church. Through rehearsals and preparation, musicians work together to prepare sacred music that supports and enhances the corporate worship of our congregation.
The Wind Ensemble helps lead in worship approximately once a month and provides music for special services and presentations throughout the year. Whether you are an experienced musician or looking for an opportunity to begin playing again, the Wind Ensemble offers a welcoming place to make music, build relationships across generations, and use your gifts for the Gospel and the glory of God.
Hosanna Handbells | 4:00PM | Chapel
Hosanna Handbells provides an opportunity for musicians to use their gifts in service to God and His Church through the unique ministry of handbell ringing. Through weekly rehearsals, ringers develop musical skills, learn to work together as an ensemble, and prepare sacred music that enhances and supports the corporate worship of our congregation.
Hosanna Handbells participates in worship on select Sundays and at special services and presentations throughout the year. Whether experienced or developing as a musician, each ringer plays an important role as the ensemble works together to offer its music for the glory of God.
Student Worship Collective | 5:15PM | Fellowship Hall
Student Worship Collective equips students to grow as musicians, worshipers, and worship leaders. Through weekly rehearsals, students develop their musical skills while deepening their understanding of biblical worship and learning how music can be used to serve the Church and proclaim the Gospel.
Throughout the semester, students prepare hymns and songs—both old and new—to help lead the congregation in corporate worship on select Sunday mornings. They also prepare special music for seasonal services and presentations, including our annual Christmas Presentation.
More than simply preparing music, Student Worship Collective seeks to develop students who understand the purpose of worship, value the collective voice of the congregation, and use their God-given gifts to serve others and glorify God. Following rehearsal, students enjoy a snack supper and dedicated time for fellowship and building meaningful relationships with one another.
WEDNESDAY
Children’s Choir (Pre-K – 5th) | 6:00PM | Education Building
Children’s Choir helps children develop musical skills while learning what the Bible teaches about worship. Through weekly rehearsals, children learn hymns and songs—both old and new—that teach biblical truth, proclaim the Gospel, and prepare them to participate meaningfully in the worship life of the Church.
Throughout the year, Children’s Choir helps lead in corporate worship on select Sunday mornings, giving children the opportunity to worship alongside and serve the larger church family. Each semester, children also prepare additional music for a Children’s Choir Showcase, where they share what they have learned with their families and congregation.
More than simply learning songs, Children’s Choir seeks to form lifelong worshipers by helping children understand why we sing, what we sing, and how we can use our musical gifts for the glory of God.
Chancel Choir | 6:00PM | Music Suite
The Chancel Choir helps lead our congregation in worship each Sunday through hymns, songs, and anthems that proclaim the truth of God’s Word and the good news of the Gospel. Through weekly rehearsals, choir members grow in their musical skills, deepen their understanding of biblical worship, and prepare music that supports and encourages the congregation’s participation in corporate worship.
The Chancel Choir also presents special music throughout the year, including seasonal and community presentations. More than a musical ensemble, the choir is a community of believers who use their voices to serve the Church, encourage one another, and glorify God through music.
MISSION AND VISION
The Family Ministry of First Baptist Dublin exists to partner with families in making lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. Recognizing the home as a primary place of spiritual formation, we seek to equip and encourage parents as they lead their children to know and love God, grow in His Word, and faithfully follow Christ (Deuteronomy 6:4–9). Through Gospel-Centered teaching, meaningful relationships, and the life of the church, we desire to help children and families develop deep roots in Christ and a faith that reaches beyond the walls of the church.
Our vision is to see children and families transformed by the Gospel and growing together as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ—loving God, loving others, and living on mission for the sake of His Kingdom and glory.
-
Heart Transforming
We desire to see children transformed by the Gospel so that they know, love, and fear the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:5; Proverbs 9:10). With Christ at the center, we teach the truth of God’s Word, helping children understand their need for a Savior and pointing them toward repentance and faith in Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15; 2 Corinthians 5:17). Our desire is not simply changed behavior, but hearts and lives transformed by Christ.
-
Kingdom Expanding
Jesus commanded His followers to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20). We believe that disciple-making begins in the home as parents intentionally teach, model, and live out their faith before their children. As children grow as disciples of Christ, we want them to understand that they, too, are called to share the Gospel, serve others, and make disciples—beginning at home and reaching into their community and throughout the world.
-
Culture Shaping
We want to raise a generation of Christians who faithfully live out the Gospel in the world around them. We seek to equip children with a biblical worldview so that they are prepared to stand firmly upon the truth of God’s Word, love and serve their neighbors, and represent Christ in their schools, relationships, communities, and wherever God may lead them (Matthew 5:13–16; Romans 12:2).
WEEKLY GATHERINGS
SUNDAY
Sunday School | 9:30AM | Education Building
Sunday School provides children in Pre-K through 5th grade with age-appropriate biblical teaching and discipleship each week. Using the Bible Studies for Life curriculum, children explore God’s Word and build upon the Levels of Biblical Learning, allowing their understanding of foundational biblical truths to deepen as they grow.
Kids Worship | 10:45AM | Education Building
Children begin the 10:45AM service in the Sanctuary, worshiping alongside their families and participating in the corporate worship of the church. During the Doxology, children in Pre-K through 3rd grade are invited to the Kids Worship Room, where they continue learning about worship through singing, a Bible lesson, games and activities, and stories of missionaries serving around the world. Many of the songs children learn in Kids Worship are also part of the worship life of our church, helping them grow toward meaningful participation in corporate worship.
WEDNESDAY
Music & Missions | 6:00PM | Education Building
Music & Missions is a 90-minute weekly gathering designed to help children grow as worshipers and begin developing a heart for missions.
During Music, children develop musical skills while learning what the Bible teaches about worship. They learn hymns and songs that prepare them to help lead in corporate worship on select Sunday mornings, as well as music presented during our Children’s Choir Showcase each semester.
During Missions, children learn about missionaries and the work of the Gospel throughout the world. Through these stories and activities, children discover that missions is not only something adults do in faraway places—they can glorify God, serve others, and share the Gospel right where they are.
MISSION AND VISION
First Baptist Dublin Student Ministry exists to help students in 6th–12th grade know Christ, grow as His disciples, build meaningful relationships, and live on mission for the Gospel.
Through Student Midweek, Sunday School, discipleship groups, Student Worship Collective, retreats, camps, Disciple Now, and other opportunities throughout the year, students are grounded in God’s Word, encouraged through biblical community, and equipped to faithfully follow Christ in every area of life.
Our mission is to partner with families in making lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ by challenging and equipping students to know God’s Word, pursue Christ, love and serve others, and live on mission for the Gospel.
Our vision is to see students forged into the people God has called them to be—young men and women whose lives are shaped by His Word, transformed by the Gospel, and surrendered to His purposes.
The image of forging reminds us that spiritual growth is a process. As we willingly submit ourselves to God, He shapes and forms us to become more like Christ (Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Through biblical teaching, discipleship, worship, relationships, service, and mission, we seek to provide opportunities for students to encounter Christ, grow together in a biblical community, and be equipped to live faithfully for Him.
We desire to see a generation of students who rejoice in the good news of the Gospel, are deeply rooted in God’s Word, pursue authentic relationships with other believers, and boldly live on mission. We believe God can accomplish far more than we could ask or imagine, and we rejoice as He works in and through the lives of our students—all for His glory (Ephesians 3:20-21).

MISSION AND VISION
The First Baptist Dublin Senior Adult Ministry provides opportunities for senior adults to grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, serve others, and remain actively engaged in the life and mission of the church.
Throughout the year, our senior adults enjoy Christ-centered fellowship and programs, day and overnight trips, and opportunities to care for and encourage one another. Our active visitation ministry provides connection and encouragement to those who may be homebound or experiencing times of illness or difficulty. First Family Cares provides additional support and connection for senior adults and their spouses who do not have family in the immediate area.
Our mission is to encourage and equip senior adults to continue growing as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ while cultivating meaningful relationships, caring for one another, serving others, and using their God-given gifts for the Gospel and His glory.
Our vision is to see senior adults deeply rooted in Christ and fully engaged in the life of His Church—growing in faith, sharing the wisdom God has given them, investing in younger generations, serving their neighbors, and faithfully living on mission.
We believe every season of life provides opportunities to grow, serve, and bear spiritual fruit for the Kingdom of God (Psalm 92:12–15). As an intergenerational church, we desire for senior adults not only to enjoy meaningful fellowship with one another, but also to develop relationships across generations and continue making disciples through their example, encouragement, service, and witness (Titus 2:2–5).
