Forge Student Ministry

(6th-12th Grade)

Vision and Mission

The author of Hebrews writes, “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it” (12:11).

The heart of our student ministry is for students to be forged into the people that God has called them to be. The process of forging centers on the idea that God is shaping and molding us into His image as we willfully submit to His plans and purposes. Our ministry desires to see students challenged, discipled, and to pursue Christ in their lives so that God may be glorified through us. We acknowledge that we are recipients of God's grace and that we are also called to be instruments of God's grace. The programs, events, and gatherings that our student ministry participates in seeks to provide opportunities for our students to encounter Jesus, make meaningful relationships, and to mobilize their lives for the sake of Christ.

We desire to see the next generation rejoice in the good news of the Gospel, to live out biblical community, and to be on mission. We anticipate and expect great things from our students and  rejoice in the ways that God works in and through their lives.

Ephesians 3:20-21 "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Weekly Gatherings

Sunday Morning Small Group Bible Study

Sunday Mornings @ 9:00 AM in The Family Center.

Students gather in The Family Center food court for breakfast and fellowship. After announcements and a time of prayer our high school students head upstairs to The Loft and the middle school students remain in the food court area for their small group times.

Youth Choir

Sunday Nights @ 5:15 PM in the Choir Room.

Youth Choir starts back September 9th 2018. We gather in the choir room which is located directly behind the Sanctuary. Whether you're a professional vocalist or can only make a joyful noise, you're welcome to join us.

Forge Weekly Gathering

Wednesday Nights @ 7:00 PM in The Loft.

Beginning September 7th 2018, our weekly Forge gathering will kick back off. Our students gather each week to participate in games, worship, teaching, and discussion times. Many students enjoy arriving early (anytime after 6:30 PM) to hang out and play on our basketball court.

Prayer Breakfast

Thursday Mornings @ 7:00 AM at Chick-Fil-A.

Rise and Shine and thank the Lord for Christian chicken! Starting September 10th 2018, we will kick off our weekly Prayer Breakfast gatherings. Students arrive at 7:00 AM to eat breakfast and fellowship with one another. We take some time for a morning devotion and prayer and then dismiss around 7:30 AM. Transportation can be arranged if needed to various schools.

Our student ministry offers a variety of gatherings, events, and mission opportunities other than our weekly gatherings. Those opportunities can typically be found in The Vision Newsletter each week.
