The author of Hebrews reminds us, “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it” (12:11). In a day in age in youth ministry where quantity in numbers has taken priority over quality, where more time is spent on the crazy games than radical discipleship, and where students are challenged to come but not dared to think we are rebelling against the culture, refusing to accept the “either-or’s”. We have embraced the challenge and in view of this approach we have adopted the name FORGE.
Forge — as a verb—to form by heating and hammering; beat into shape or to form or make, especially by concentrated effort: to forge a friendship through mutual trust. As a noun—a special fireplace, heart, or furnace in which metal is heated before shaping.
